Huntington’s disease (HD) is an inherited genetic disease that leads to gradual and progressive motor and cognitive decline, usually starting in the fourth decade of life. It leads to dementia, movement disorders, gait instability, trouble with speech and swallowing and unconditional premature death, usually before one reaches their sixties. It unfortunately has no known cure.
Medical marijuana is provided as an option to help manage symptoms of this disease as they develop. This includes anxiety reduction, pain relief, dystonia reduction, side-effect relief of conventional Huntington’s medications and more.
